Starmania is a rock opera created by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon in 1978. It has went through many iterations over the years, but essentially details the lives of various people living in the 'futuristic' city of Monopolis.

As it is in French, for a starting point I recommend the 1989 proshot with fan-made English subtitles. :)

I've been a fan since 2019, and I finally got to see Starmania perform in Aug 2022.
